This page is subject to change without prior notice and will include updates as they occur. Read this document before reserving a space or hosting a party.

The Currier House Reservation System is a platform to reserve spaces in the House. It also is the way to start the registration process for parties, which require tutor and staff approval in addition to room reservation.

How to reserve a room in Currier

Students who want to use common rooms in Currier need to reserve them using the Currier House Reservation System. It is important to answer every question on the reservation form. If you have questions about room reservations, reach out to Currier House Administrator Alana Brissette (cu-ha@fas.harvard.edu)

Currier common rooms

The Reading Room, Meditation/Prayer Room, Game Area, and Gym are available on a first-come, first-served basis and do not take reservations. Please follow rules for these spaces (posted on doors). Table tennis and billiard equipment is available at the Bells Desk after 4pm if it’s not already out in the game area.

House common rooms (the Fishbowl, Mousehole, BLR, GLR, Seminar Room, Poker Room, Beehive, etc) can be used for small events without a reservation, but reservations have priority for room use. Strominger Room may be reserved for small events (not parties) with permission by contacting the House Administrator at cu-ha@fas.harvard.edu. Gilbert Living Room and Bingham Seminar Room will be available for reservations after the package depot closes and rooms are set up/cleaned - Oct 2.

Dance Studio guidelines are as follows:

Please be mindful when booking the Dance Studio. If you have booked more time than is allowed, please go in and modify your reservation. If we see extra time booked, those bookings will be deleted.

Parties

Gatherings of more than 10 people at which alcohol is served are parties. In addition to reserving the room for your party, you need to receive approval from the On Call Tutors.

  1. Reserve space for your party in the Currier House Reservation System. Any space in which you plan to host a party needs to be reserved, even your own suite/room.
  2. Reach out to the On Call Tutors by noon on Thursday to notify them of your plans and arrange a time to meet. You must meet with them and receive approval by 8pm that night.

Gatherings without alcohol

To host a gathering without alcohol, you need to reserve the room in the Currier House Reservation System. Tutor approval isn’t needed for events without alcohol, but if you’re hosting a large event (more than 10 people) please let Alana (cu-ha@fas.harvard.edu) know your plans -- hosts, location, time (start-end), type of event (game night, birthday party, dinner party, watching a game, etc), number of guests.

tutors on-call by Thursday at noon to let them know you plan to host a part or large event. You must then meet with one or both of the on-call tutors in person or on zoom by Thursday at 8pm to discuss event details/so they can sign off on your event. Your meeting concludes with the on-call tutor entering approval for your party into the system. See the Currier House online calendar for the names of the tutors on call. House Administrator Alana Brissette (or designee) and Resident Dean Amanda Lobell (or designee) also need to sign off on your event before you are all set. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. So, submission by Thursday (or earlier!) with prompt interactions with tutors and administrators helps.
